NEW 1700T MOULDING MACHINE

Rutland Plastics has just placed an order for a new Engel 1700T Duo injection moulding machine  This new addition will provide greater capacity and flexibility within the company’s larger machine group, and it demonstrates their ongoing commitment to remaining at the forefront of the UK market for large injection mouldings.  Delivery is scheduled for April 2011.

Steve Ayre, Managing Director, says “This latest purchase reflects Rutland Plastics’ commitment to continuing investment in the latest technology as part of providing world class service to our customers.” 

One of Rutland Plastics key markets is for large and thick section mouldings and over the last twelve months the company has seen an increase in demand for capacity on the largest machines. Steve added, “Purchasing this new machine will not only allow us to adequately meet this increase in demand, it will also allow us to provide greater flexibility and higher levels of customer service.”

The Duo is the new compact range of moulding machines from Engel with a two-platen design.  Apart from a smaller footprint these machines also offer the ability to mould taller or longer parts than is currently possible on conventional moulding machines.  Cycle time reduction is possible because of the high speed cylinders and fast locking action. The machine also comes with Engel’s new ECO drives with energy savings comparable to all electric machines.  In addition the machine is extremely quiet, which is an important consideration for the working environment. 

All this adds up to more cost effective moulding for the customer.
