1st year of Newsletter
This edition sees the completion of the first year of the Rutland Plastics’ email Newsletter. We are proud of the fact that it is currently distributed to more than 3,500 people comprising customers, designers and potential customers from a wide range of industries. Furthermore, the list of names is growing weekly as more people ask to be added to the distribution list.
In this first year we have covered a broad spectrum of thermoplastic materials from commodity grades such as polypropylene and styrene to engineering materials such as acetal and nylon. The broad overview given on each material’s properties can help readers decide which material is suited to their particular requirement. Examples of typical applications show what is possible in the field of injection moulding.
The first 12 issues of the newsletter have also covered general application topics, for example gears and lighting, together with examples of products moulded by Rutland Plastics on behalf of some of our customers. These articles have provided more detail into what is achievable with injection moulding and have led to a number of enquiries for similar applications.
Finally, the news section keeps you informed of developments here at Rutland Plastics. As the Newsletter has coincided with our 50th Anniversary this year you have been told the history of the company as well as items on events throughout the year, such as our Golf Day.
We are looking forward to the next 12 months with more of the same. There are still a number of different thermoplastic materials to be covered as well as interesting application stories to bring you. As always there will be updates on what’s happening here at Rutland Plastics.
In the New Year there will be a short survey seeking your views on what you would like to see covered in future editions of the newsletter. After all, it is written for you and to inform you.
