FACTORY UPDATE
More than 12 months after making our application and satisfying all the requirements of Rutland County Council, Rutland Plastics have finally received approval for the redevelopment of its factory.
Planning approval can be view here:
Work on Phase 1 should now start early May. This phase will entail the building of a new office block along the front of the existing mould shop. In addition to the offices the building will also contain a new staff canteen and facilities as well as enlarged accommodation for the Quality Control department. It is planned that staff will move into the new building before the end of the year.

Once completed this will enable Phase 2 to start at the beginning of 2008. The old offices, toolroom, maintenance and stores area will be demolished to be replaced with another mould shop bay designed to take the larger moulding machines.

Phase 3 will see the partial demolition of the empty factory next door and the building of a new warehouse. It is hoped that this work will start shortly after the completion of Phase 2.
