RUTLAND PLASTICS COMPETITION WINNER

Following last year’s very successful coaster giveaway at the Plastics Design and Moulding show (PDM), the company was looking for ideas for a possible gift for this year’s show.  It was decided to hold a competition for employees to come up with ideas with a prize of an iPod Nano for the winner.

There was a fantastic response with around 35 individual ideas.  People had clearly given a lot of thought and in many cases also provided detailed designs.  We are pleased to announce that the winner was Gary North.  Gary put forward the idea that we should make Identification Holders as a giveaway.  This idea captured the attention of the managers because it met all the criteria set out in the brief.  It is the sort of item that can be used by the people visiting PDM, it is multi-functional as it can be used for advertising, and when considering tooling and moulding it would be simple and relatively easy and cheap to make.

It has not yet been decided whether to make the ID Holder, but congratulations to Gary for his efforts.

This year's PDM exhibition takes place at the Telford International Centre 18th - 20th May.
