Maintenance, Facilities & Safety Manager

As Maintenance, Facilities & Safety Manager your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensuring the efficiency and reliability of the plant and machinery is maximised through the implementation of best-in-class practices.
  • To ensure the health, safety and welfare of the company’s employees, visitors and customers through the delivery of best practices, whilst continually improving safety, reducing accidents & risk and driving a safety culture throughout the company.
  • Accountable for Health & Safety compliance, COSHH, risk assessments etc. ensuring compliance to all relevant legislation and codes of practice.
  • Monitoring and implementing improvements in production downtime and costs.
  • Lead and co-ordinate the Maintenance team on-site, and contractors.
  • Assist the planning and specification of new machinery and parts, installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
  • Involvement, where appropriate in capital investment projects and work cross-functionally to deliver.

In order to be successful in your application, you will ideally have the following:

  • Experience of leading people in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (ideally injection moulding but not necessarily).
  • Relevant technical qualifications i.e. NEBOSH and current H&S awareness qualifications.
  • A desire to support the improvement and growth of the business.
  • Have an electrical bias and/or a solid mechanical skill-set, apprentice trained to BTEC minimum.
