1. Initial contact (NDA, file types, brief discussion etc)

Signing a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is fairly common practice and we are happy to sign an agreement. You can download our standard NDA here (*link) and we can start the process to provide you with access to a ‘no-obligation’ audit and quote for your part, so it costs nothing to discover whether or not injection moulding is suited to your application.

2. Quote, Technical Advice (tender to approved suppliers - tooling/relationship)

3. Tooling Order - Project Launch, Assign Project Manager, Initial Project Plan

4. DFM (Design for Manufacture) Review

We carry out a thorough review of the part for injection moulding to fully optimise every aspect for plastic injection moulding to include cost and time efficiencies, quality.  It is at this stage that we will suggest recommendations and modifications that will improve the part for injection moulding manufacture.

5. Tool Design Sign-Off (general assembly)

6. Weekly updates during tool manufacture project plan reviewed and updated, issue weekly timing plans and progress images to ensure quoted lead times are achieved.

7. Tool Trial Reviews (either on/off site, to include customer sign off in person etc)

Tool trials are carried out by design engineers to ensure that the capability and reliability, conduct a full tool design review to pass off the mould design before manufacture can proceed.

8. *Tool Shipping (if required / overseas)

Sea and air freight options offered where the tool has been made overseas.  On tool arrival, our toolroom maintenance team will de-crate, strip clean and fully inspect the mould before it goes into a press for trial on site.

9. Approval & Sign off

From simple visual confirmation and sample approval sign off to full PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) style approval we will work with you to fully approve your part to the level you require.

At this stage the  project is handed over to the production team for mass production.

Full capacity for dimension ISIR reporting.

Master retained samples held.

10. QA Specification

Part specific Quality plans produced for each part reflecting agreed quality levels at approval stage.

Part specific production dimensional and first off checks assigned for each part.

11. Production Handover

At handover from approval to production parts are controlled, scheduled and manufactured using the company wide ERP system.
